Is there any team set up for current and long term success more than the braves? If so, there aren't many... I'll trust AA who was instrumental in getting us in this position.
How long is long-term? I agree on the short-term prospects, but there is absolutely zero offensive depth in the upper minors right now.
Braves lose the offseason pennant race every year, and every year, the Braves are doomed here by some
Braves play the lottery every year. If they win the title good. That’s why they dont win often. You build a team and add those extra piece to have a real chance.
Our window is closing and if we don’t sign or trade for a number 3 the window is going to close fast.
Fried is leaving and after next year we have basically Strider.

Lmao. Nobody said that. If you choose not to believe another Frontline starter is needed that's cool, but people can differ on how to get the ultimate prize while taking nothing away from AA.
There is no set way to win a WS. A prime example is this year and ours 2 seasons ago. Basically the way to win is get in the playoffs and pray you get hot
It also helps to not start Bryce “All Star” Elder is you want to win in the playoffs. The easiest way to ensure that doesn’t happen is to have pitchers that are better than him available to pitch. The best way to ensure that is to have pitchers who aren’t old and/or injury prone. Luckily for the Braves, a few such pitchers are still available.
This illogical thought process being battered around that just because the known weakness of the team isn’t the reason 2 games were lost, and therefore somehow isn’t important, is baffling to read.
It's become apparent to me that AA is planning on having a pen to unleash on teams in the postseason. Hopefully he (or whoever managed) the dodger series in 2021 takes over the postseason this year
I agree he plans to greatly shorten games in October, and I agree it can help cover games when they have to start Bryce Elder.
The other option is to build enough SP depth to not have to start Bruce Elder.
Maybe he sees AJSS or waldrep doing just that, and if they don't, he will address it at the deadline. We haven't even gotten to ST yet, so stressing on who starts game 3 in the playoffs seems premature
