Race

Yes aware of the fact that standing was used as an excuse to not investigate legitimate evidence of voter fraud.

You know how any audit is done in business world to identify material misstatements in financials.

Standing is something on lawsuits, it can't be used to stop investigations. It can however be used to stop frivolous lawsuits that wish to go on fishing expeditions.

How is requiring an ID "suppressing votes based on race?

Because he’s racist and think black people are incapable of getting ID’s even though people, that live hundreds of miles away from big cities in the Dakotas, Alaska, Wyoming and Montana somehow have ID’s

Indeed a strong people are those…. Whose brilliance is only outpaced by their resourcefulness

Because the ability to get one can be manipulated. And history shows Republicans can and will manipulate anything they can with elections to their own advantage. See states banning voting centers on college campuses after losing elections. See Trump megadonor installed as Inspector General trying to slow down mail service right before the election knowing there would be a lot of mail in ballots. I am fine with requiring ID so long as there are safeguards written into the law. You are just naive if you think the purpose of this isnt to suppress votes from people Republicans dont want voting ie black people.

Why does getting an ID harder for black people than white people?

Because black people are poorer on average than white people. As I have said I am fine with requiring an ID as long as Republicans are barred from using shenanigans like they always do. Like how they try to deny people abortions by limiting the amount of abortion clinics as a roundabout way to fight legalized abortions. I would be surprised if you were to argue Republicans dont and wouldnt use this tactic. These are the same people who floated the idea of raising the voting age simply because young people dont vote for them.

There are ~15M white Americans living below the poverty line

There are ~7.2M black Americans living below the poverty line

If being poor makes it less likely to have an ID, then requiring an ID to vote discriminates against twice as many white voters as it does black voters.

So unless you meant its racist towards white people, I ask again why requiring an ID to vote is racist?

Doesnt matter how many total there are of either race that are poor. If we require IDs to vote and then they close half the DMVs in majority poor black areas thats going to result in less black people being able to vote. As I said, I am fine with requiring ID to vote so long as Republicans dont do things that make it harder for people to get those IDs like closing DMVs in black areas, now allowing paper IDs but upping the time it takes to get the hard copy, shortening the hours of operation, etc. Would you not agree to those things in order to get an ID requirement?

uhh sure but did the GA JIM CROW law insist on shutting down DMVs in black areas?

I've asked over and over again why the act of requiring an id is racist and you have spun your wheels.

your only argument has been that black people are either too poor or stupid to figure it out

No, my argument is Republicans can and will add barriers to get an ID in black areas such as closing DMVs in black areas, limiting hours of availabilty, and creating delays in getting the hard copy to suppress the votes of black people. I think I offered a very fair compromise and your ignoring of it shows that you know damn well the intent is to suppress votes of black people and wouldnt agree to limiting Republicans ability to use shenanigans to get what you want.

You are creating a hypothetical to dismiss a reality

Requiring an ID to vote is not racist

Its not a hypothetical its an inconvenient reality. You want to pretend like the same people who have removed voting centers at college campuses to try to discourage voters who dont vote for them wont close DMVs and other shenanigans to suppress the votes of black people. The same people who have stated they want to raise the age of voting because young people dont vote for them. There is a LONG history of Republicans doing this. But its a hypothetical that they will do what they have done time and time again. Why cant we just agree to voter ID with protections in place to prevent making it harder to get IDs in specific areas? Whats so hard about that?

I'm not arguing that a hypothetical shutting down of voting centers in an all black neighborhood isn't racist

I'm arguing that requiring an ID to vote is not

You seem to not be able to admit that

I have said it's not. It's the manipulating of people's access to getting IDs that will be used against a specific race that is racist.
