Hard to be a political outsider and know the ins and outs immediately.

Hard to know how many people within your 'own party' would knife you in the back.

Its a much different operation now. I think there was even stories that the RDS camp was shocked at how well run the Trump operation was in Iowa.
 
Abbot may go down as the greatest governor in our nations history for what he is doing.

And the work Paxton has done on exposing election fraud may put him up there for best State AG in our nations history.

When has Abbot indicated that he would ever run against the most popular republican of the past 40 years after he was obviously robbed of an election and the people want him back?

Trump and Abbott have been closely aligned on the border issue and Trump/Paxton are especially close.

I also find it amusing the RDS influence simps are questioning what Trumps position is on Abbots move. LIke Trump wasn't the person that single handedly changed the national conversation on the border starting in 2015.

We wouldn't be in this position if Trump didn't fail to secure the border during his term.

Sending in the national guard to defy the federal governemtn is more than just having a majority in the state house.

Plus Texas is weird in that the R majority state house is ran by the D's.
