I think the advantage on the second possession trumps that, but that’s a good point.

Niners defense was clearly gassed at the end of the 4th. Putting them back out there immediately vs Mahomes who was picking them apart wasn't a good option either.

I know you like the guy and I’ll grant you that he’s still young and seems like a fine solution at QB. But he was really, really mediocre this entire postseason.

He made winning plays each game. GB was rain.

I think you can win with him. KC defense is legit.

Purdy was fine, game was lost on that 3rd down at the end of the 4th. Gotta call a blitz beater there. You know Spags was gonna go all out there.

Purdy with some of the best weapons in the game and his line controlling the point of attack was mediocre. He missed multiple receivers wide open. Just wa smeh.

49ers had ball 3rd and 4 in the 4th in a tie game at around the 30.

The chiefs should have never touched the ball again... Shanahan played not to lose rather than to win

The 49ers officially have the Braves post season luck. That punt hitting the guy in the leg was such a fluke play that had a MASSIVE impact on the game.

Then there's that blocked extra point, freak injuries, etc.

A bunch of missed holds as well on chiefs offensive line but ultimately the game rests of shannys play calling. Had multiple opportunities to win the game.

Like I said, 49ers got away with that bogus no catch from their FB they set up their go ahead FG.

For reference, it was making it's way around Twitter last night. It was the Dez Bryant rule.

I don't see that as the same because Juice was reaching (completing a football move) while the attached catch was one movement to come down with the ball.

Either way - They were in FG range and Moody kicked two 50+ yarders so not sure how this made the FG possible. Plus it was also 2nd down.
