LOL - PURDY SUCKS!

I thought Purdy played fine. He was a competent game manager and that’s all that offense really needed with all those elite skill players and Shanny’s system.

We’ll see if he can develop into a quarterback who can win playoff games on his own (which is what Mahomes did last night).

Yeah - If the argument is that he's not Mahomes then I agree. I think he is better than a 'game manager' since he makes a bunch of plays when the pocket breaks down and throws his guys open but he is definitely not mahomes.

Purdy is a super fast processor. You can watch him go through his progressions and he puts a lot of current NFL QBs to shame doing that. To me, that's the number one thing I want in a QB and one of the hardest things to find. Knowing where to go with the ball and when is more important than being able to throw the ball through a wall. He'll start in the NFL for a long time doing that.

He's not in the same league overall as guys like Mahomes (who is in Mahomes' league?) but he's a rock solid NFL QB and that's more than probably 3/4 of the NFL has right now.

And he just turned 24.

Between this fluke injury (Chiefs were much more banged up coming into the game just speaking to oddity of the injury) and the punt that tipped off of an engaged blocker the niners were never destined to win this game.

I'll make it easier for you.

Purdy to his backfield 10-10 121 yards
Purdy to anyone else 13-28 134 yards

Mind you someone you have said is massively overrated, Lamar Jackson targetting his WRs and TEs in the same secondary was 16-29 222 yards. And except maybe andrews (who was hurt) you take the Niners weapons right now every single time. Zay could get there but Aiyuk and Deebo are better.

The most important things for a QB in the NFL are

1. Pocket presence
2. Accuracy
3. Anticipation

90% of that is the ability to read a defense.

How much more of a blowout would that game have been if Chiefs center didn't have the snapping yips. Lots of low snaps that lead to broken plays.

Justice for Jeff Garcia!

And don't forget the Old Ball Coach! Spurrier was under center in the Bay Area for about a decade, but only a few seasons as a starter.

While you're at it, toss Steve Deberg in there as well. Deberg was Walsh's first QB for the 49ers and the WCO, which really changed football as we knew it.

Purdy is another Kirk Cousins, which is funny because he is another QB coached by Shanahan.

That's a solid QB that you can win a lot of games with when he has the necessary talent around him. But he's also not a guy that is gonna really elevate the talent around him. As SF stars start to decline/leave for FA, I think you're gonna see SF fans start to turn on Purdy the way Washington and Minny fans turned on Cousins.

This is what happens when you analyze tape and you see if the QB is making the right decisions/throws.

It's hilarious to me how ridiculous the narrative changes if just one or two plays go differently.

If Lions convert 4th down, Dan Campbell is a genius and we are in the super bowl.

If the 49ers convert 3rd and 4 put of the 2 min warning, they are the Champs and Purdy is the next Brady

Purdy was fine.

He over threw a few, but is a top option at QB.

On the falcons we make a serious playoff run with BP.
