Official Spring Training Thread

Looks like the boys are starting to take these games a little more seriously and working counts and taking more deliberate ABs….

Getting ready to head north for battle.

Not completely unpredictable was Kelenic needing ABs to adjust the timing of his swing changes.

Seitzers interview was pretty informative on it

I still think Kelenic has a big year. The Braves studied him prior to the trade and knew they could fix his swing. Obviously the change takes time.

Yeah, they are one of the smartest organizations in baseball. I guarantee they had some reason to believe Kelenic would succeed with us beyond just "he's a former top prospect".

I've seen Kelenic hit into some bad luck, and if we had xwOBA for ST I bet it would reveal he isn't hitting as bad as the .125/.192/.167 line suggests. He's certainly not killing it, but I bet he isn't .359 OPS bad.

Looks like Wyatt Langford is starting the season with the Rangers, as is appropriate for a good and kind and noble Florida Gator.

Soroka popped up on my goggle articles so I went and saw he is having a pretty good spring. I hope the team doesn’t regret letting him get away.

I hope we do regret it. Soroka deserves to have some stuff go his way. He was always a favorite of mine and I absolutely hate injuries derailed his career with us. Had he stayed healthy there's no telling what we'd have accomplished.
