GDT 4-19: TIME TO MESS WITH TEXAS

3 homer night…with a go-ahead grandslam knockout blow.

We will be talking about this thirty years from now.

Before the season started, I thought there was a legitimate possibility for the Braves to challenge the 116 record.

After Strider, Murphy, and Ozzie all going down in month 1, I gave up on the idea

But here we are playing at a 117 win pace, with a lot of players underperforming

I don't think 116 is on the table anymore, but I feel really good about my 102 over that I backed the truck up for in March

I will settle for 108 wins. But we have the same issue we've had for the last two years, starting pitching depth in October. What will it be? No idea. But our number one can't lose to to their number threes and expect to win a series.

Question, maybe I was out of the loop.

Wasn't the plan to slow walk and limit the innings of Sale and Lopez so they could be available come October? Snit seems to be using them to max pitch counts and innings early on. Did that change?

We are going off a 5 man rotation and not skipping the back end spots when we have the chance to do so. So everyone is getting more days between starts. Sale only had 89 pitches over 7 innings. I think the more pitches you throw in an inning the more stressful those pitches are on the arm. Throwing 12 pitches per inning SP could probably pitch 10 innings without serious damage to their arm. Its those 20+ pitch innings that **** up the arm.
