GDT 4/30/24: Braves @ Mariners - Break out the big sticks

Arcia should not be batting above 7th, but that's the least of the issues right now. The three worst OPS guys are three of the first four in the lineup. That is not sustainable, and they better get it figured out. We're a month into the season now.

Arcia honestly shouldn't be hitting above 8th...He overachieves early and Snit thinks he's a model of consistency..

Seeing this offense languish like this almost has me believing MLB is messing with the balls to keep races close. Some of the results for us have been head scratching lately.

We don't agree often but i agree here. Having your 3 best hitters all sucking terribly at the same time is cause for concern a month in. They have to be given a day off and all at the same time. Ronald is missing fastballs right down the middle. Its like his bat has slowed down.

Just bench all the starters. Call up some AAA bums to take their place. Make them sit until they learn not hitting is not an option. Then after about 50 games in which we lose 49 of them maybe they will have learnt that failure is not an option. Then if the pitcher has a bad start. Bench them too for some more AAA bums. In fact just DFA them. That will show them.

Did you watch the braves on Sunday under cox? Sitting guys for 1 day is benching them. It would give our 3 best hitters a couple days reset since tomorrow is a day off

it is comical that folks think giving guys or even multiple guys days off is a bad thing. Like Forrest Walls 0-4 is any better than Acuna's 0-4.. Giving players a day off lets them reset. And travel days are not days off. Guys struggle, hitters go through slumps.. you just have to wait them out.. but letting someone get a night off and letting another player actually play is nothing but beneficial.

And fans have the right to react and be mad. It isn't that deep.. the players are probably mad and critical of themselves.
