I'm not convinced that the republican party sprinting to the socialist left is better for the long term health of this country.
Instead, letting Biden burn the progressive brand to the ground, much like the University brand, and the health institutions, may give us a Regan esque type of response
Or he just changes based on how he sees it and doesn't have a dog in the fight.
You just base whether you like someone or not if they agree with you.
Just like you call everyone a socialist if they are anywhere left of you.

I'm vacationing at the moment. Yesterday I met a Brazilian governemnt economic official.
She was a self described socialist. Amazing how much she defended deficit spending, inflation, etc as a justification to help Brazilians put food on the table.

I would say Trump winning is a net positive in the very short term, but if it results in the GOP becoming a re branded AOC. It's a disaster for the long term

He offered amnesty to 'Dreamers' who were children when they brought to this country and lived here for a decade in some instances.
