No - Blue collar folks will be able to afford homes when jobs are brought back and illegals are shipped out.
In addition, rents will be reduced as well attributing to more savings.
The math is pretty straightforward.

No - Your solution will lead to a massive deflationary event resulting in empty homes.
First we need to correct our population issues and then figure out what our supply/demand looks like.

Over time there will be reductions but it won't happen all up front.
This article basically states that FLorida/Texas will have a bunch of uninhabited homes.
Not ideal.
Yeah - More fentanly killing kids and people being less healthy over the last 20 years.
These situtaions are not going to improve.
Also - When population migration resets away from pandemic motivated migration both states are going to be screwed with oversupply.
At least it will be mostly PE that takes it on the chin.

Wouldn't over supply bring down the cost of a house which would attract people to move to that area?
The demographic change of reliable Democrat voters will be permanent after Trumps four years.
Housing costs are one factor of migration. Opportunity/Family/etc.. are bigger drivers.
People will come back to Cali/NY over time.

What if Trump caves to public pressure on illegal immigration like he did last time?
What if Biden wins?
Depending on deportations to naturally push home prices down is foolish. Not to mention, rural areas of the country don't feel the strain of illegal immigration on our housing like big cities do. How is that supposed to drive down the prices in these areas?
