GDT 5//21 - cubs game 1

Charlie getting to face this offense twice snd look horrible both times is concerning. The cubs suck offensively
 
He made a nice play there though ….

As for not DLing Riley- and as somebody else said- pretty sure the thought process was, “snitker’s not gonna play the extra guy anyway, so it’s better to have the extra guy playing every day in Gwinnett…..”
 
I don’t understand how Assad can get some those borderline calls but Charlie’s are just as close and it’s a ball every time. I’m ok if they’re balls, just be consistent.
 
2nd and 3rd with 1 out and Acuna doesn't come through. He has to step up... that almost certainly will bite us tonight

Him or Ozzie...but I honestly don't expect much from Ozzie with anyone on base.

Ronald is hitting .210 with runners on...That's terrible for how much he means to the team.
 
Needed that!! Good quick easy inning - now let’s get some deep fly balls in the wind and do some damn damage.
 
Michael Big Mac Harris hit a HR, Kelenic took a walk, Arcia with another great AB- hell even Acuna advanced a runner without striking out with men on base -
Only got one run, but we are starting to look a little better at the plate as of late

I’m becoming less worried about Ronnie. His at-bats are constantly going 3-ball counts and he’s hitting it harder (and tons of calls going against him), but Ozzie is very literally a net-negative right now
