Few reasons

1. Compulsory overt nationistic displays are rarely a good thing.
2. Why can't individual cities etc. make that decision to better represent their constituants. For example, if the Panthers Make the NHL finals wouldn't it be nice for Miami to light up bridges etc. red blue and gold for the panthers?
3. Like everything DeSantis does he does it just for political brownie points. He already is a failed presidential candidate. Now he's still trying to position himself as such, even though we all know he won't a shot.

seems red white and blue represents 100% of citizens, where the rainbow group represents a small percentage.

I love it when RDS shoves things like this in the lefts face.

People can be as patriotic as they want but forcing it on people is not cool and kind of spits in the face of the beliefs the nation was founded upon. I know I used a $2 word there so it may have slipped past you.

If you don't like a bridge being lit up in say Tampa, with Pride colors. Vote the people out. My town had a cunt who wanted to put restrictions on art and was clearly anti-free speech and the dems and Rs made it clear she wasn't gonna get reelected.

RDS directs the public bridge to display R,W,B. You call this anti free speech, and pro compulsory nationalism

But another government official doing the rainbow colors - which majority of people are sick and tired of, and that's just good ol free speech. Don't like? Vote someone out!

Maybe instead Florida can vote out RDS?
