2024 Minor League Thread

We picked up Ramon Laureano on a minor league deal. Low risk move… I know several were advocating for him a couple years ago.
 
A few years ago I wondered why all of the Braves picks were pitchers. Now I know why. Every pitcher comes with a bomb attached to their elbow.

Interesting. Someone must have been reading the article at mlb.com that mentioned Laureno as a possible pick-up in the wake of Acuna's injury. He had a couple of decent seasons with the A's, but has fallen off the past couple of seasons. Some power. Can at least stand in CF without totally embarrassing himself if the need arises. Noted for his great throwing arm, examples of which you can find on YouTube. Walks less than a wheelchair-bound senior citizen.

His solid offense basically fell away after he got busted for PEDs if I remember correctly. Curious lol
 
David Fletcher apparently got the start at AAA and went 5 innings 3 hits 2 runs and 6k including striking out top prospect Jackson Holliday. He is throwing a knuckleball........
 
OF Luis Guanipa (our top international signing for 2023) made his FCL debut today and went 2/3. Let's see how long it takes for the Braves' minor league hitting instructors to ruin him.
