I think it’s reasonable to think that replacing Biden at this point would be waving the white flag given it’s only 4 months until the election (though running Biden also feels like waving the white flag).

I also think (D) would be in a much better position if Biden announced a year ago he wouldn’t run for reelection and they had 2 years to build up name recognition for the alternative through the primary process.

Getting smoked in November will be a good thing long term for (D). As much as they paint (R) as extremists, (R) has moved to center in almost every way since 2016. I feel like (D) would benefit immensely from a similar adjustment.

All the people they moved to the Rs because of it won’t comeback home to the Dems even after they changed. The global left miscalculated tremendously and will suffer for a generation as a result

I think someone like Youngkin to win if he isn’t too beholden to his financial backers and his past experience.

Vivek has a shot in a few years.

JD Vance as well.

If lake wins her race then she becomes a potential candidate as well.

RDS screwed himself and the country is worse off because of it. But of course you don’t understand abortion would be tbe #1 issue discussed and RDS would get crushed in all rust belt and sun belt states as a result. Not to mention down ballot everywhere else.

I suppose it’s possible but we will see. The world changed very quickly and for the worse all because of leftist positions. I don’t think the population will soon forget about that.

Here's the problem for republican presidential contenders. Ever since Virginia went permanent blue in 2008 the only outlet for republicans to win is to take the Rust Belt states. Has there been any evidence that Nikki, Vivek, or even RDS can take any of those states? The only one in our lifetimes to do it has been Trump. I think the only successor to Trump who can to do it might be JD Vance.

Bush lost PA, MI, and Wis and won pretty comfortably.

The key is to not lose GA and AZ, which Trump is the first repub to manage to do that this century
