I think the changes needed to improve living conditions for lower income workers can be done through social programs, not through deporting people. I also reject the argument that immigration has remotely as large an impact on the wages of citizens as you presumably do. There are economic theories that suggest the effect on wages is limited.

I can have empathy for illegal immigrants while also believing they shouldn't be here. At least those that came here illegally.

However the military offers naturalization through service. But for some reason, they can make the "Brave decision" to free themselves from their poverty and crime stricken countries to come here, but can't make the same decision brave decision to join the military in order to become a natural citizen.
