Trump Trials Watch I

the documents case was in my opinion the only one that held any really ability to damage Trump

the fact that the left screwed up with a process error is pretty glorious. incompetence does have a cost

IMO I don't think a court room that doesn't have a democrat judge/jury would get him for this. There's just too much legal precedent in Trump's favor.

In New York or DC Trump would have been convicted easily.

I could only imagine the feeling that BL and Cajun have today.

Only will be topped when I visit Mount Rushmore with BL in 10 years to view the Trump bust.

they are undeterred. nothing ever slows them down. there will be a new hoax coming any day now and we repeat the cycle

This is what history tells us - I'm wondering if things have chnaged. Not that they wouldn't believe the next one but that the globalist left realizes how culipable they are and starts to quiet down.

They know whats coming.

Taking down Morning Joe / Nicole Wallace / Reid twitter was a massive admission.

Was never a particularly aggressive “documents” guy but it’s tickling me to see how much the court system is either virtuous or broken depending on which legal loopholes benefit which side.

All the lies are coming undone while the remaining moronic supporters decry 'legal loopholes'.

the three weeks that have passed since the debate has been about as bad for democrats that I can ever remember.

multiple major Supreme Court rulings, the in party in fighting, the Trump phenomenon gaining way more public mainstream appeal. all in just a few short weeks

let's see how we screw it up!

Been a complete curtain pull back

Maybe some of their faithful followers will learn from all of it

They won't learn - They still think its a 'both sides' issue.

So many are so far gone. Its time to focus ont he youth and fix education. Eventually idiot people that think 'Both sides' will become a lesser proporation of voting population and we will have a more unified country.

It is pretty wild. When (D) imagined what this summer would look like, this certainly wasn’t it.

If I ever see Trump at a poker table, I’m not sitting down. Dude pulls runner-runner inside straights like no one’s business.

It's really just odd to see people celebrating this like it's a win. It was dismissed temporarily. He can just be indicted all over again and the case continues. That you think delaying the case until Trump can pardon himself is an exoneration is sad and pathetic. If you actually thought he was innocent you would want him to have beaten the case on the facts of the case.

My "feeling" is one of equanimity. I think the question raised by judge Cannon about the appointments clause and independent prosecutors is a valid one. Other judges have ruled the other way. Our legal system is there to sort out these issues. Eventually it will probably come before the Supreme Court.

I understand why various administrations have sought to make use of this appointment mechanism as a way of protecting themselves against the charge that a prosecution is political. But as we have seen in this case, it doesn't really provide that protection. One takeaway is to just go through the regular DoJ procedure for bringing a case rather than use the independent prosecutor mechanism, which as judge Cannon ruled might have some constitutional imperfections.

Think about how much time of 57s and cajuns lives have been spent watching these trials, following the Mueller investigation, watching every second of the Jan 6 committees

All for literally nothing to come from it, and a likely second term for President Trump

lolololololol

Theoretically it could be retaken because I think it was dismissed without prejudice. However, good luck with that. lolololol

The fault on this lies squarely at Garland's feet. Tell him to actually follow the law next time.

The optics of Biden going after Trump after the assassination attempt would be dreadful. So he won't do it.

And him not doing it will be the admission that it was political

On top of that they would have to get another prosecutor. They have no time to do this before the election.

There is a chance that the 11th circuit could overrule Judge Cannon. However, it wouldn't hold up if the SCOTUS got involved.

It was naive of Garland to think he could somehow "depoliticize" this case. I don't know what the ultimate ruling will be on the constitutionality of independent prosecutors. But the reality is the independent prosecutor mechanism doesn't really work as a way to take politics or at least the appearance of political motivation from these kinds of cases.
