All of the events that occurred after the 2020 election should and will be part of the campaign. It would be political malpractice not to remind the voters over and over again of what happened. Calling him a threat to democracy is inviting more violence. The Dems are aware of this. They've already pulled campaign ads and have begun shifting focus. It certainly won't be be received well with Trump and RFK Jr shifting to a unity message now.

I think Trump wants VA, which would all but secure his victory if pulled. I think he also wants to appear softer on abortion.
 
At this point, a Vance selection simply means he wants absolute loyalty and he thinks Vance will help his chances in the Rust belt.

Lots of people hated trump and and then saw how he governed and changed their mind.

Others have pretended to like him this whole time for their own personal benefit.

Vance is one of those two. I'll take the former. Vance seems very geniune to me.
