2024 Field

I think you are assuming your conclusion.

The assassination attempt does not wipe out the fact that his ego did not allow him to accept he lost an election fair and square. All of the events that occurred after the 2020 election should and will be part of the campaign. It would be political malpractice not to remind the voters over and over again of what happened. Some of y'all may wish that such reminders stop. I doubt that your wish will be granted.

Calling him a threat to democracy is inviting more violence. The Dems are aware of this. They've already pulled campaign ads and have begun shifting focus. It certainly won't be be received well with Trump and RFK Jr shifting to a unity message now.

Youngkin makes a lot of sense.

Woof if they go back in time to see how pervaisve the thought of killing Trump was in the regime.

Youngkin would get me intrigued, but he's a lot further right than Trump and I doubt Trump wants that internal conflict

I think Trump wants VA, which would all but secure his victory if pulled. I think he also wants to appear softer on abortion.

Didn't Vance once espouse the "Trump is Hitler" mantra?

Lots of people hated trump and and then saw how he governed and changed their mind.

Others have pretended to like him this whole time for their own personal benefit.

Vance is one of those two. I'll take the former. Vance seems very geniune to me.
