It's OVER 5,000!
So Wood can't average 6 innings per start?
I would say that's far from a guarantee with a young rookie pitcher.

Maholm averages over six innings per start. If Wood replaces him, imagine the extra work for the bullpen. You guys are crazy.
And to be fair, that was a good pitch by Peavy so even if he moved him over no lock Gattis scores.
Doubt it--especially right now. Do you have any idea how hard that is to do?
why is he still pitching
That's fine, what do YOU want? Who's out there that's clearly better than Minor? And why are you SO sure that he can't pitch well in the postseason despite him being great since the 2nd half of last year?
If you want to be fair, try considering the point. Which was that Uggla is bad with RISP. That was the point afterall. I even noted that he contributes with homeruns.
Why do they have to be better then Minor? I want anyone better then Hudson and Paul. They are our weakest link in the rotation. I know Hudson is going no where so you obviously have to improve on Maholm. Does Beachy or Wood pitch better then Paul? I would say yes.
So who is your to 3/4 rotation for the playoffs?
Minor
Teheran
After that is a big ? mark IMO. Which Hudson, Medlen, or Beachy/Wood shows up?
You get someone to put with of Minor/Teheran and we have a very good rotation IMO.
I would take Peavy, Garza, Evin Santana,
6 runs to this lineup is almost grounds for a DFA by itself...embarrassing
For all the talk of Maholm averaging 6 innings per start today is the 8th start out of 20 that he's gone less than that. It's the 4th start he's gone less than 5 including the last 2.
Maholm needs to go to the bullpen unless traded. I like him but he's not getting it done and we have better options (Beachy or Wood).
