2024 Field

What are her "far left policies"? How far right would you judge Project 2025 and "dictator for a day" to be?

Defunding the police, Medicare-for-all, Mandatory gun buybacks, abolishing ICE, banning fracking. These are all policies she publicly ran on just 4 short years ago and she was abruptly put out of the race.

Trump is not attached to Project 2025 in any way, shape, or form, and has consistently denied he has any interest in it. So I don't know why you or other liberals continue to bring that up. You are spreading propaganda.

There is a lot to pick over in Kamala's record. I think she has to hug creepy old joe's more centrist record (on issues like fracking, immigration and law enforcement) as tightly as she can. His positioning on the issues is pretty good. And she should choose a veep that reinforces refashioning herself as more of a centrist. Kelly would be my choice, but Shapiro would also work. The left has nowhere to go. It is obvious which group of voters she needs to appeal to. The center of California politics is different from the national center. She will have to make that transition, as other politicians have when going from state politics to the national stage. That process is actually pretty far advanced. But she will have to explain to the voters some of these shifts.

Arresting election observers?

I only thought wild things like that happened in America after the 2020 steal.

But Harris will pander to a black crowd and start speaking in a way that would get you F's in english class.

Intelligent people and those that care about hte survival of the West understand that a vote for Kamala or any D is a vote for destruction.

Could you imagine how Kamala would handle one question like Trump got today?

Tulsi effectively ended her presidentital hopes and that was the last time Kamala fielded anything difficult.

I don’t really give a **** about this, but boy does Trump need to workshop his messaging on this.

Also, if you’re going to question if someone of mixed heritage is “black enough” maybe the person who pledged AKA at an HBCU is a poor choice.

And to be clear, Kamala Harris doesn’t have to choose. She’s both, and it’s weird to suggest otherwise.

Like her voice and word usage she can change how she presents herself for her audience. As opposed to someone like Trump who is the same regardless of who is watching.

Ah so you want people to act differently in front of black people. Interesting

Trumps tactic today was intentional.

Soon black people will learn that Harris is not black but actually comes from slaveholders. Very nice person for black peoples to vote for right?

Hopefully your boy will pick up that argument about Kamala being the descendent of slavers and speak out about it. Americans need to hear the truth.

That will happen during the debate.

Kamala should perform some repetitions and let a real black pedosn run for president.

No, that’s a poor reading of my point. I don’t give a flying **** how Kamala acts or how she views her race. Even if it’s a political grift, it’s her grift to run. But it’s not like she just popped up 4 years ago with a black descendent. She’s immersed herself in “black” culture (I don’t mean to suggest I get to determine what this) as far back as undergrad, and presumably earlier given the choice of Howard to begin with. She doesn’t have to pick which part of her she is, because she’s it. If she relates more to her Indian heritage, it doesn’t invalidate her blackness.

Again, I’m really not outraged here. This doesn’t change anything I think about Donald Trump, and I don’t think he meant it maliciously. Feels similar to the Biden “you’re not black” gaffe from four years ago which was also overblown. Old white dudes often have trouble relating to young black people authentically. This is fairly benign compared to other statements made by Democrats and Republicans alike. But I just don’t accept that Harris needs to fit a box to be black.
