2024 Field

Combat sports are honestly one of the few areas where I’m uneasy with allowing overlap. It is funny to me though that we’re treating this like a matter of life and death when this particular boxer has a 9-5 record against women. Should they ban all the women who were able to beat her?

Also, details have been pretty sparse. Is this even someone who was assigned male at birth? If not, are you all just piling on to someone who has a unique genetic makeup?

She has a condition similar to Caster Semenya. Undescended testicles (which still produce testosterone) and genitalia that might appear female. Anyhow, I think the IBF was right to ban her. The levels of testosterone in someone with that condition is like a man's. The Olympics should reconsider how it assesses these kinds of cases.

Gotcha, thanks for the clarification. Again, I agree with things like testosterone testing for impact sports. But I do think this makes some of the specific attacks a bit icky. This isn’t about gender expression, it’s how she was *physically* born. I thought that was supposed to be gospel for gender?

hermaphrodite is a very old word...variations of it exist in almost every language

nature is more varied that we are comfortable assuming

"She" was physically born a male, as she has XY chromosomes, despite whatever genitalia she has or what she was assigned at birth. She can present as whatever she wants. But she's a male.

She doesn't menstruate. She can't have children. But she can father children (and Caster Semenya HAS fathered children)

There is no limiting principle once you start pretending someone can be a different sex than what they were at birth.

These are the types of things that happen when you entertain that delusion.

The delusion of nature.
Quite a delusion in and of itself.

This conversation reminds me of bored drunk rednecks that used to go to the bus station on Friday nights to pound on a ***got.

Nature doesnt play by the " rules"

Okay, but this isn’t just “culture war” stuff then, it’s an edge case. I don’t think that means she should get to box in the Olympics if her testosterone levels are too high, but it makes the response a bit gross. Like this is a physical medical condition, why twist the knife in such a way?

Dude is welcomed to go beat up other dudes if he wants.

It's inhumane to let him beat up on innocent women

Because we are protecting women from having hteir hopes and dreams taken away from them because they have to compete against men.

Its really that simple.

But since we are forced to entertain the delusions there are no limiting principles. This is a direct result of the poisonous ideology that mqt pushes.

Of course they won't ask and mqt/bl/etc.... just nod along like NPCs
