2024 Field

I don’t think the media will come around for the right reasons, but after the convention I think the pushback from the right will shame them into action. And it’s correct for the Right to do this. While I understand the strategy from the Harris campaign, I don’t respect it. If you’re going to anoint a new candidate without opening up the process, the onus is on you to have your policy plan ready.
This is where I land as well

My working theory is maybe Trump stopped listening to the people who were running his effective strategy heading into the RNC and started listening to his sons instead. Because it feels like he peaked in the days leading to his VP announcement, where reportedly he was set to pick Burgum before he sons went nuts demanding he pick Vance. All downhill since.

Burgum would have been about the worst choice possible. Extremely vanilla.

I'm not the biggest Vance fan, but Republicans seem to like him overall. Youngkin, RDS, Scott, or Abbot were the best choices. Tulsi would have a been a home run pick, but she wasn't far enough removed from the 2020 Dem ticket to be a realistic option.

Is it ever Trumps fault? Or is there always a scapegoat?

He's lucky he's got JD running around acting like an adult and focusing on the task in front of them

Seems to me it will all come down to PA. Harris is obliterating Trump in ad spending at the moment. Let's see if that ever changes

With the changes in the electoral college all we need is to regain Georgia, AZ, and win just one of these Rust Belt above and the republicans win. It's why Kamala is trouble. She can win the popular vote by a good amount but still lose.

If we win Nevada we can still lose Arizona if we take Pennsylvania or Michigan.

I don't think the sunbelt is a lock at all
