GDT 8/11 Schwell Sunday Afternoon Lineup: Bombs Away

I thought Logue might have been brought in instead of Luke. I also thought Iglesias was going to get the call w two outs in the ninth. Oh well, sometimes I have thoughts.

Luke Jackson can eat a dick. I want that guy gone. He was just a salary dump, and we sent down a good reliver to keep him up. We don't lose this game if Jackson was cut like he shoulda been

Snit left him in to long as well. JJ was left in to long also.

Totally didn’t watch any of this. Crazy. Why is everyone just grilling Luke. JJ came in and **** the bed just as bad. Was he not warmed up properly. How does an inning spiral like that.

Acceptance is the final stage, folks. If nothing else this hopefully illuminates some things that need to change in the offseason.

I didnt expect us to have to use a good reliever 8-2 in 8th, so I doubt seriously our best relievers were mentally ready. Even so, Jiminez has been great this year, and Luke Jackson (has been dog ****... why is Luke Jackson (4.68 FIP, -0.3 fWAR) on this team over Lee (3.09 FIP, 0.5 fWAR)?

Ok trying to look at the positive of a terrible loss. The Schwelly and the offense did their job. The bullpen blew it spectacularly but they are one of the best in baseball and this is more of a fluke than anything.

In spite of everything we're still in the fight for the playoffs. If management can start taking the games more seriously we should be able to turn things around.

We missed a golden opportunity to fix next year's team by selling to fix our depth problem. Instead we burdened the next 2 years with a DH who has to play the outfield.

tough loss, but just more to the point that this year was poorly run and snake bit. I made mention of an interesting decision coming when Fried was to return. I said the most likely to occur was Lee being optioned, but was it the best. Lee is far superior to Chavez and Jackson, but AA loves his flexibility. But is that the right approach. Flexibility is important, but not at the expense of results.

Another bad decision imo from AA and twit.

that said, it really doesn't change much in regards to this season. it is a lost season and even if the Braves squeak in the playoffs, I can't imagine a long playoff run unless Fried OR Lopez comes around and the pen can get back to not pitching 6 innings a night. Oh and the offense has to show it is for real. For me, that is a lot of 'ifs

I think it's just 2 IFs... if Harris is back and his normal self, and if sale and fried are healthy, this team could be a handful in a playoff series. If I'm the brewers, I want no part of the braves in the WC round.
