I agree it's a reasonable observation.
Maybe they aren't as "black" as they are made out to be. Maybe subconsciously they feel marrying a white person protects them, or it's helpful to get ahead in a white-controlled society. Why are wealthy black athletes attracted to white women? Do they subconsciously feel that doing so is "moving up" in the world.
