What circumstance avoids the DH Monday? Best I can see is we would be up 2, but the Mets could still pass us by sweeping the DH, right?

Wouldn't we need braves and Mets to win both games, ARZ to lose both games. Even then, Monday could still be played for seeding, unless the teams agreed not to.

Is that the scenario?

Both Braves and NY need to be up by 1 game vs AZ after Sunday night for the MLB to consider cancelling the last 2 games. Both Braves and NY have tie breakers against AZ.

Magic #'s are 3 for AZ and 4 for NY. Milwaukee could still get the 2-seed. Sadly I don't think SD has anything left to play for. Just take care of business.

We could clinch by tomorrow over AZ in which the DH is moot for us from a SP perspective. Throw Holmes and Elder out there.

Also, I’d like to point out, that Lopez has 26 appearances against the Royals and has a 5+ ERA. He also hasn’t pitched in three weeks. Pretty good chance we lose tonight.

I just finished watching this game due to the power outage and man what a start. We will miss the heck out of Max. If I were the Braves I would re-evaluate and do whatever it took to keep him. There is no way Sale backs up this year. At some point, the Braves will have to keep a high-priced free agent, it may as well be Fried.

Max **** the bed. I dont see why we need him back. And the Braves have kept many high priced free agents. Ozuna. Plus all those players they signed to long term extensions well before hitting free agency.
