4 total, I looked at wrong column.

Who are Josh Allens WRs? Pat Mahomes?

Mahomes has had Kelce the entire time and at various times has had Hill, Hunt, Pacheco, and Sammy Watkins. WTF are you even talking about?

Allen had Diggs for most of his career who is far better than anything Luck ever had.

Allen had Diggs most of his career. Mahomes has Hall of Famer travis kelce and for a few years borderline hall of famer (depending on how career winds up) Tyreek Hill

A QB makes a WR more than a WR makes a QB. Allen was successfull throwing to John Brown as his best WR and now has very little at WR and still performing. Luck had TY Hilton and Reggie Wayne and a solid stable of TEs. its not like he had nothing to throw to.

Oh, you used total yards. I missed that. Luck was a lot like Lawrence in that he made his OL and weapons look worse, unlike many QBs. He wasn't bad, by any means, but not a top 5-10 QB. The advanced numbers were rightfully pretty harsh on him most of the time as well.

And this site sucks, i get database error non stop.

For sure. But Diggs is an elite WR. He was hovering around 1000 yards and 5+ TDs with the barely hanging on shoulder of Sam Bradford and Case Keenum as his WRs. When he got a respectable QB in Cousins his production took off. Under Allen it also took off. If WR didn't matter then there would have been no reason for KC to trade for D-Hop or Buf to trade for Cooper if you could do it with anyone.

Having watched the season where Matt Ryan was throwing to Harry Douglas and 37 year old Tony G, and Roddy White at the end of his career,

LMAO, no he didn't.

Luck may not have been a top 5 QB most years. But that's largely because the 4 best QBs in history were playing at the same time that Luck was developing. Brees, Rodgers, and Brady made up the top 4 for much of Luck's career (until Peyton's final season in 2015 where age/injuries caught up with him). But he was easily top 5 in 2014, leading the league in TDs, 3rd in passing yards, and 1st in total offense. And he was top 5 his final season as well.

That adds to my point. Elite QBs dont need elite WRs. Matt Ryan does. Do we really expect much from Hopkins or Cooper at this point?

This is a poor argument. Nearly all of the best QBs in his history consistently have had elite skill players. The main exception being Brady before 2007.

Ryan threw for 4500 yards and 26 TDs that year.

Peyton always has an elite receiver be it Harrison, Wayne, or Thomas. He made them better but he always had weapons. Brady when he was at his best had either a Moss or Gronk to throw to.

Great QBs elevate their WR. But they still need guys to catch them. Again if only QB play mattered why would KC and Buffalo trade for receivers?

And Brady wasn't considered elite then he was considered a poor man's Joe Montana. Great clutch QB with an amazing team around him. Belichicks defenses were massive in the 2000s. And IIRC most of their SB years they had great RBs.

I know striker will come on here and give us a treatise on why Morris is a bad coach... but I love the guy. The Falcons are fun and I think he's clearly growing as a coach. We are one or two defensive players away from being a legit SB contender.

Here's hoping playing Dak has inspired our rushers to be competant .

Robinson seems like a very good hire as OC.

4th down aggressiveness has been a pleasant surprise.

And whatever Mike McCarthy is, Raheem ain’t that. Jesus

That defense's problem isn't just a lack of talent, it's hideously coached. A lot of Falcons fans are already ready to run Lake out of town (I think that's a little unfair as it's really Morris' unit and gameplan).

When your head coach's own side of the ball is this terrible, it's a bad sign. A really bad sign.

If Robinson gets poached, Morris is basically screwed.

You make it sound like Morris didn't pick Robinson. You think he was lucky and ergo incapable of selecting a capable of hiring a coord?

Listen the defense is a mess, no denying it, but to just heap it on Morris when he had 1 season to try and turn around a hot mess is silly.

Morris for some reason pissed you off, I don't know why, Maybe he's our Jason Garrett (somone the owner has a huge blindspot of love for) but at least give him a shot. We're 6-3 after the toughest part of our schedule. There's a very real chance we could be 8-3 going into the bye, which would be amazing. Especially coming off the bye we basically have 4 lock wins (home games vs. Chargers, Giants, and Panthers and away vs. Raiders) When we get past 7 wins I'm gonna pop open something bubbly probably a sponataneous fermented beer. Since we haven't hit 8 wins since 2017.

lol... except the defense isn't terrible... the LBers are pretty good and the secondary is elite. The only thing this team is lacking is a pass rush. Your hatred for a head coach doing a damn good job his first year is bizarre. But this sort of thing is kinda your MO... you start with a take and you won't ever let it go.

The stats don't lie. The Falcons have a bottom 10 defense. They've given up the 9th most yards and 10th most points in spite of having a good offense that doesn't have a lot of 3 and outs.

They've given up the 11th most passing yards so the secondary isn't elite and 8th most rusing yards so it's hard to say the LBs have been great.

The Falcons are a team with an excellent offense and a bad defense. Morris gets credit for bringing in Robinson but he was an obvious choice and if he gets poached there's not an obvious replacement that's already close to Morris.

Morris is likeable and a huge improvement over the idiot that was Arthur Smith but he's a bad Xs and Os coach and a mediocre coach overall. He'll make the playoffs this year and maybe next but it's really just a matter of time before this team ends up like the one he coached in TB.

And as for my bad takes, Arcia and his 0.8 WAR says hi.
