Ok so I see you weren't interested in my reasoning as to not want a guy with potential dirt on him to be the AG. And his resignation from congress immediately definitely supports the idea that he's worried about the ethics complaint being released

As for your other hysteria:

1. I didn't think Trump could win the presidency in 2022. And if a bullet was one inch to the right, I would have been right. I gave too much credit to the deep state to make one of the bull**** lawsuits stick, or a better shooter, or a better candidate opposing him. I figured if they would unleash a bio weapon on the world, and rig the election against him, there would be no reason not to do it again when they actually controlled the white house. Silly me. Got that wrong, and changed my opinion on that after seeing what the dems were rolling with

2. I predicted Trump would win the primary, and Iowa. So I was correct. As for Iowa, you were the one who was wrong, when you predicted Vivek would beat RDS (RDS tripled him). Dummy

3. I said Romney outperformed Trump in both elections Trump had run in. Which was correct

The high school girl that Gaetz had sex with is morally/ethically the victim in this scenario, even if it wasn’t illegal. Again, why bother with fighting grooming then? It’s technically “consensual” if they are slowly manipulated into having sex, is it not?

Imagine as yourself the situation you’d need to find yourself in to be hooking up with a high schooler. Especially if you’re either a practicing lawyer or sitting US Congressman. Do you find yourself in many situations where you’re alone with a 17-year-old girl at a party?

And yes, the vast majority of drug users are victims. My wife is a social worker and works directly with these sort of people. 2 close friends are in law enforcement. Another 2 close friends are defense attorneys. All agree that drug addicts are victims.

Majority of drug users vecause your wife works with the worst case scnearios. My God what a viewpoint. Of course social workers/police officers see the underbelly. THats like 1% at best of all drug users.

Who do I hang out with? I can't change people I grew up with if they like to go on vacation and pay for sex. Just because its something I wouldn't do doesn't make it right for me to judge and preclude someone from office. Again, this is choir boy mentality and not living in the real world. Do I really have to post the laws on consent in regards to a minor. Is this really where we are?

And most prostitutes don't exactly "consent" to being a prostitute. "Pretty Woman" isn't an accurate representation of the sex trade industry.

I think it’s perfectly reasonable to be skeptical of basically anything the government does, but Gaetz resigning from Congress two days before the vote on its potential release over his obviously spurious chances at being confirmed for AG is every bit as curious, is it not? There is absolutely no expectation that a member of Congress steps down this early in the process, and from what I’ve read his seat cannot be filled by the start of the next session, so there was no other reason to do so that quickly.

And even if it *is* politically motivated for them to release the findings, it doesn’t mean anything about the report itself. Republicans could (and I’d argue probably should) genuinely just think it’s good politics to not let someone with these allegations be quietly snuck into the office of Attorney General.
 
As a happily married 35 year old, I'm glad the poster pushing family values on this board will defend my right to pay a 17 year old high schooler to have sex with me
