Yes the line is always that leftists are so mature that they're the ones willing to speak about their issues

The reality is that its leftists who are primarily creating issues for themselves (climate change!)

It was a cool anecdote that proves beyond a shadow of a doubt how it’s conservative issues and not liberals ! Lol

Lovely non-sequitur.

What would you call someone who when presented with obstacles shuts down and self implodes?

Shocker - zitos out of his depth again .

Soon enough he will be focusing on thanks and post counts or clout with a obscure SM outlet

Lol

Either these people have a legitimate reason to be diagnosed mental drugs for their issues, or their therapists and doctors are lying to them and prescribing anyway

I think we should actually keep quiet so the left keeps making it a prominent issue.

What a gift.

But remember, republicans made it an issue!

This is more accurate if Conservatives are the Tuba, because 99% of Americans would get through every single one of those days without ever knowing it happened if you weren’t bitching about it all the time. Same thing with McBride and bathrooms. She is going to use the bathroom Johnson requested and isn’t making a big deal about it. Yet Nancy Mace is *still* talking about it every 5 seconds like she won a war. The culture war you decry is very often just people on your side of it making a big deal out of things that don’t actually affect most of us ever, let alone frequently.

Totally dude. That's why every June conservatives are flooding every store and school with rainbow flag and every street with half baked freaks flashing kids

Counterpoint - if these issues aren’t that big a deal and don’t really impact most of us ever, why did Kamala sit back and absorb body blows from Trump’s swing state tv ads about her prior support for gov’t funded sex changes for prisoners? IMO, she was paralyzed with fear of how her base would respond.

Rep. Moulton said after the election he doesn’t want his little girls run over by a former male on the sports field, and (D) shouldn’t be afraid to say that, and in response to his thoroughly reasonable stance, his top aide and campaign manager resigned.

There’s a faction of (D) who sees these issues as important enough that they’re not willing to cede an inch, and I think they’re every bit as responsible as (R) for keeping this culture war at the forefront.

I agree that there’s a large portion of the Democratic base has an issue with eating its less progressive members alive for anything they perceive as anything less than perfect on social issues, and it’s a problem politically. But Republicans are actively running on the grievances of very few and using it to work public sentiment *against* the people actually experiencing real hardships. Despite what the tweet above would imply, it’s not swell to be a trans person in 2024 America, particularly in more rural or conservative areas. I don’t think Dems need to abandon Trans people to win elections, they just need to do what Representative McBride did and attack Republicans for making an issue out of where one person uses a bathroom instead of working to make things better for Americans.

Where I take issue with **** like the tweet in question or basically anything Sturg posts on the subject is it’s usually in response to some random ****ing person on TikTok or a bull**** visibility holiday nobody pays attention to instead of the laws being written. It suggests that Dems are spending all their time trying to legislate their way into more trans people instead of the reality of pushing back against new laws by Republican reactionaries.
