Offseason Hot Stove 2024-25 Thread

Yeah, these anti AA posts are just crazy. If we let him go, he'd have a new job in less than 2 hours.

Didnt say he's a bad GM. He's played it conservative the last 2 deadlines and last offseason also. Just sorta got lucky that sale could be had for Grissom and that sale stayed healthy. Still a great move, but did involve tremendous luck

Eovaldi staying with Texas. No terms announced yet. 3 years/75 million, not sure i would have done that but damn.

A lot of baseball is luck. AA is a top GM in the game. I see Yankee fans dragging Cashman for not matching the offer for Soto even though that contract is nothing short of stupid. Fans complain I get it but AA will once again put us in position to win it all.

Alot of baseball is luck. Sale staying healthy i guess was lucky, but it was also unlucky half our roster was injured all year.

AA won't push the envelope with FA deals, so we will have a trade or Charlie

Only trade guys i can think of are Gray, Montgomery, or maybe Lopez from the Twins if they're cutting salary. Jmo, no sources but if they wanted Charlie back, i think they would have done it by now.

AA would obviously prefer someone else, but again, he won't push the envelope

Our farm is the best it’s been in like 2-4 years

Also have you seen these free agent deals? Thank god he’s not giving them out.

If the deals are crazy, then the guys available on decent deals are more valuable. We will drain the farm again or spend or make no real improvements

Best player he's traded away is Contreras. No one else has really amounted to much. AA will eventually make a move or two, the AA haters are absolute bat**** insane right now.

I don't think 3/75 for a pretty solid veteran pitcher with postseason experience would necessarily be ruining the future. At least it shouldn't be with as much money as this team is raking in.

If we didn't sign a guy, it was a bad deal, and thank God, AA didn't do anything. AA is a really good GM, but some act like he's infallible. I think his last 2 deadlines were really poor.
