There’s no way. Maybe the 16 million he paid Morton last year.

Verlander was horrible last year, but his statcast peripherals say he should’ve been a number 4. It’s a risk that he doesn’t fall off even more at age 41 though. I wouldn’t love it.

Have you met Braves Twitter, Facebook, and Reddit?

They would eat that signing up, unfortunately. Many of them still want Charlie back and are confused on why AA hasn't signed him yet.

I mean he traded nothing for the Cy young winner and got a good SP on a steal of a contract. You called them easy decisions and risk free. Of course that’s wrong but it didn’t stop the stupidity from whining out of your mouth
 
Would love to get Scott. We have a couple of our best relievers gone after 25 so he would help offset that. I’m hoping AA has the Twins on the phone. They are wanting to cut some payroll and we can help with that.

He has someone on the inside. He said the Sale trade announcement was coming (without mentioning Sale specifically) right before it was announced. Of the two signings, he said one is a solid 9 of 10 and the other is "at least interesting." So Scott and Verlander would fit. He hasn't said "no" to those two in the comments like he has others - Satander, Flaherty, Sosaki, Profar, Kim.

He said tonight or tomorrow is the timeline for an announcement but could be later because the Braves FO is so quiet.
