I think you guys are confusing negativity with just balancing the energy of the site. This is the best fan site by far. Reddit is a circle jerk of homerism that I can’t go there anymore. Then battery power, which is tolerable, is controlled by way too many stat geeks that they argue by cherry picking some random statcast number. They will defend slider man (LJ) until they die because some status he should be better than he is.

This place is a great place with a nice balance of homers, stat nerds, trolls and some negative Nancie’s. When that balance starts to slide towards one side or the other,it is important to balance it back out. I mean if you don’t buy this, I can go pull a bunch of my post that blow rainbows up the asses of guys like Swchelly, Ozzie,mort, fried, Olson, ozuna and others.

Now as far as this ‘rumor’. I do think this is a huge cy level troll that probably has all three of the fan sites all lathered up. I mean you guys are debating TB again. And when the Braves sign Tommy Millie with an invite to spring, I will point and laugh at you guys. Now if he is right and we land a big fish in the next week. Well I have a few nice crow recipes i might try. That is what sets me and state apart from others. We gladly admit when we were wrong. Of course I have never been wrong so there’s that.

Supposedly that guys source is someone who reviews the medicals. So take it fwiw. He said he did put his reputation on the line with this, so i guess we'll see.

yeah.. hoping it is Scott.. I am a big pen guy.. mostly for the playoffs. I think you need 4+ lockdown pen guys to win in the postseason.. after 21.. I would have focused my energy on building and maintaining a super pen.. that and someone who knows how to deploy it properly.

Either way today is the perfect day for a big(ish) move. If it's great we can celebrate in style on NYE and drink. If it sucks there is even more reason to drink tonight.
 
The 2nd one was probably Verlander or Scherzer and I’m ok with neither given that we already have Sale and Strider.
 
So if he knows the medicals have been looked at then the deal would be pretty far along. Didn’t Correa get shot down by the Giants for his medicals?

I don't think it's the Sexual Olympics that turn teams away from Bauer. His tweets before all of that made him a bit of a target and a threat to team chemistry. He was basically the Aaron Rodgers of baseball: great on the field but always stirring the pot. Doesn't work that well in the clubhouse.

Everything I read about Kim suggests he is a low end regular whose defense may be questionable at SS. As a FV 40 guy on FG he Seems to project more as a high end utility piece than someone who will take over for Arcia.

If this insider is “9 of 10 excited” for him, I’m thinking I can safely ignore his takes from now on.

As enscheff said above. A 9 out of 10 excited for Scott would be a pretty bad take. Scott would be a plus addition but a reliever is a reliever afterall. Those can be had at the deadline to shore up a pen for the playoff push. Anything less than a starting LF, SS, or #3 SP is a meh move for this roster.

You are correct. That said, I think there may have been some buyer's trepidation (if not potential remorse) on the part of the Giants after the initial contract agreement was reached. Remember that the Twins only gave Correa a three-year deal with opt-outs after each of the first two years. Giants' offer was for 13 years and $350 MM.

He's currently under contract until 2028 (team options kick in after that) at over $30 MM per year. Wouldn't discount the Twins moving on from him as they are likely trying to clear the books of big deals to make selling the team easier. Curious as to how much they would kick in and what they would want in return.
