Vermont is very rural. Upstate NY is rural.
Met a retired Navy officer in the hospital when my father was unfortunately on his last legs.
The ship would take off for a trip and when they were back 10 women were pregnant.
Its again an issue of people liek MQT that think the laws of society since the dawn of time are no longer relevant.
Yeah, the gradual change from the dems to reps in the South pretty much destroys that narrative. We didn't immediately switch.
In the 80s Texas still had a lot of democrats and many of them more conservative than current RINOs. The gradual change happened because the dems went nuts with social issues.
That gradual change is still happening but some of it is occurring in blue states due to democrat party getting crazier.
I'm talking more how we learned in highschool at some point in the late 1800's early 1900's the parties arbitrarily decided to switch whereby Republicans became Democrats and vice versa.

In Mississippi where do people go for a quadruple bypass? I guess a hospital in Jackson can do it but do you think the doctor quality there is the same as in NY?
I know. I'm just showing that gradual change happened. In the 80's it was still happening and wasn't one quick switch like the libs say happened.
I knew you weren’t as aggressively anti-legal immigration as the true MAGA believers, but increasing the amount of refugee women escaping from war zones because a soldier fell in love with them or got them pregnant is a boldly pro-migration stance
I’m far less interested in the individual party affiliations of people in these states, and far more interested in the clear ideological through-lines between the Democrats of yore and the Republicans of today and vice versa. Voters in 1980s Texas were certainly capable of understanding, at least generally, the difference between conservative and liberal economic and social policies, so even if the Democratic Party had some holdouts in conservative strongholds with clearly conservative-for-the-time politicians, it’s not a strong rebuttal to the obvious ideological shift on the specific topics typically being discussed in these conversations.
And I’m saying men overseas will just proceed to sleep with more of the local women, hopefully consensually.
But men aren’t being excluded from the military! This isn’t a choice between two men or 1 woman and 1 man, it’s the choice between 1 woman and 1 man or 1 man.
What war have we lost on the battlefield since the military went woke, man? We’re not ineffective at bringing destruction, we’re just fighting wars that are losing on ideological grounds. We didn’t fail to conquer Afghanistan, we just couldn’t effectively govern it.
So those “good men” are instead escaping the woke military by… attending Marxist Universities and Woke Corporate America? Or living at home gaming and leeching off their parents? Maybe the problem is that the people you *want* to join have better options than dying in some desert in Iraq, and the people you already don’t want in the military also don’t want to die in some desert in Iraq.
I assure you the amount of people in the past 20 years who thought “I would go fight in this useless ****ing war and hopefully not get PTSD or die, but I hear there are women on the battlefield now so I’m less safe” is not high enough to offset the number of willing soldiers you’d be losing. The type of strong, capable heroes you’re lamenting didn’t get left behind by the military, they just found better options and stopped joining.
