Is Free Speech Under Attack in this Country?

Where the line is drawn for what qualifies someone as a Hamas supporter has some worrying possible outcomes for free speech.

He has a green card. They’re revoking his green card. Depending on his involvement in the protests, I’m not specifically arguing in favor of this one individual. It’s the Secretary of State threatening to revoke the green cards of anybody “supporting” Hamas. Depending on where the line is drawn, that could either be semi-reasonable or an excuse to toss out all dissidents, which could be a loss of some free speech.

Ok well my genuine question is do no Americans have an absolute to our right to free speech with no consequences

No. But this is not a binary thing. Saying you can restrict certain speech does not imply you should do so broadly. How is this any better than the Biden Admin yelling at Mark Zuckerberg? Trump has taken a decidedly anti-First Amendment direction thus far.

Well Zuckerberg is a citizen.

But yeah, I generally prefer a pro speech government..but I've warned for years that dems are creating an environment of a vicious response and they deserve one

Foreign nationals are not guaranteed free speech.

If we had the Klan or Neo-Nazis doing this on campuses you guys would be singing a different tune.
 
Couple of things you rights you also don’t have:

Antisemetic hate speech

Create a violent college atmosphere for Jewish kids

Disrupt someone’s expensive education

Take over college buildings

Just so everyone’s clear

We had Biden officials that were threatening social media to censor conservatives online to help Biden's reelection bid and the libs here shrugged their shoulders.

Now, these same people are whining because we are stopping dangerous anti-Semitism being stirred up from foreign nationals on campuses.

These aren't serious people.

Maybe he should have just stormed the Capitol building trying to murder the VP and congressmen. You people got no standing on anything like this when you not only justify but condone the J6 terrorists actions. You people literally supported a pardon(commutation) for seditious conspiracy. But god forbid someone protests on a college campus. Thats a step too far.

Dude, that J6 situation was peaceful until the cops started throwing grenades and shooting rubber bullets into the crowd.

The "seditious" Oathkeepers had no weapons and obeyed DC's guns laws. Imagine that.

The only person killed was an unarmed woman who was in a window at the time. The one that you make excuses for.

The problem with that is you support the biggest supporter of censorship. It would take me literally all day to list all the times Trump threatened someone to try to censor them. He was king of frivolous defamation lawsuits before he even ran for office. You are mad at Biden for doing 1% of what Trump does. We just keep going over this cycle. For example, Trump runs on a platform of locking up Hillary Clinton. You cheer. Trump tries to force Ukraine to announce an investigation into Biden right before the election so he can use it to help his campaign. You see nothing wrong with that. Then Trump gets indicted with zero evidence Biden had anything to do with and you people lose your minds.
