It is almost too retarded to believe it could possibly be real
Legitimately don’t know how any sane person can defend calculating the tariffs in this manner. There just isn’t a path to a domestic supply chain for some goods.
Anyone who doesn’t want to tariff Madagascar coffee beans is tacitly endorsing Chinese slavery, wants the American middle class to suffer, and doesn’t care at all about fentanyl coming across the Canadian border. It is almost too retarded to believe it could possibly be real
Too bad our ultra high iq economic expert isnt here to explain to us
The 31 million wealthy Madagascarians could increase their consumption of American goods so they stop taking advantage of the 350 million desolate Americans.Anyone who doesn’t want to tariff Madagascar coffee beans is tacitly endorsing Chinese slavery, wants the American middle class to suffer, and doesn’t care at all about fentanyl coming across the Canadian border.
climate change discourse demands an apology...at least in that discourse there is an appeal to sacrifice for a plausible greater common goodThis resemblance to climate change discourse is uncanny.
It is important that I acknowledge I was wrong in thinking this would be bluster. To be fair most politicians don't understand the equality between trade deficits and net capital inflows. But they also at some level understand tariffs don't accomplish much. I think even Trump supporters understand this. But this is what they signed up for. I am rooting for big tariffs on purely pedagogical grounds. I suspect at the end of the day it will be mainly bluster. Ditto for big deportations. It would be a neat learning experience to see 5% of the labor force deported.
No one seems to be on other countries to get rid of theirs on us.how long until Trump calls for Rand to get primaried?
Whataboutism aside. Do you think the US should levy tariffs on other countries? No one seems to be on other countries to get rid of theirs on us.
Tariffs should be used in one of 3 scenariosWhataboutism aside. Do you think the US should levy tariffs on other countries?
As I've warned many time... nobody could take the right so far left so fast than Donald TrumpThis resemblance to climate change discourse is uncanny.
No idea. I don't pretend to know what's best for our country. I do feel the path we've been on that's led to 30 whatever trillion in debt isn't good, so I will welcome any deviation from the normal. This may speed up the inevitable fall of our country, or hopefully it reverse the course. Doing the same certainly will led to a crash though.Whataboutism aside. Except we have a remarkably successful and prosperous country. At the apex of all other countries. And at the apex of all countries throughout all of history. And at the apex of our own history. It is amazing that you and so many others have deluded yourselves into thinking we are on disastrous course that makes any deviation from course desirable. It is ok to favor change. But we should be picky about exactly what that change consists of. Precisely because we have an amazing country where lots of amazingly good things happen. No idea.
