I can't wait for the NBA/NHL playoffs to be over. They are like 2 months long.

It is a joke that more than half of the league makes the playoffs.

The first round of the NBA playoffs was incredible for the most part.

I don't care. How the hell can you justify 53% of the league making the playoffs? It is literally harder to miss the playoffs than to make it.

It's all about money. And even though this year provided good series, I could do without having to watch below .500 face off for 5-7 games.

Problem is that they need to rid the playoffs of the conferences. Having a team like Phoenix/Minnesota in the playoffs over the Hawks/Bobcats would have made it much more interesting.

Who had the best record in NBA since the time when Marc Gasol came back from injury? Are you really this dense or just purposely ignorant?

Keep loling Adams. He had a BIG impact in the last series and with the way he defended Blake he will have an even bigger impact this series. The Clippers bigs are not close to as skilled as the Memphis bigs so that makes it even easier for Adams to stay on the floor. Gasol was making him look silly alot just because of his guile. Clippers bigs are not as good offensively in the halfcourt as the the Memphis bigs and for you to think that just shows you have no clue what you are talking about.

Adams play 20 minutes through the first 5 games of the series. Then got a 0 and a +2 in the last 2 games. HUGE!

LOL off comparing ZBo and Gasol to Jordan and Griffin.

4 games between Clips/OKC this year.

2-2

OKC 432 points

LAC 428 points

Blake, vs the impenetrable OCK defense averaged 25 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 assists per game.

Oh my. Maybe they will just post Griffin up every play instead of running pick and rolls!

Do you watch the Clippers play? They don't PnR Griffin that much. They use DeAndre more.

Blake scores in the halfcourt on post ups or when he faces up to his defender.

OKC's defnese now and what it was at the start of the year are two completely different things. Blake will get his points but he will have some hard times doing it.

IN a halfcourt game Memphis bigs are much better than the Clippers bigs. That is what I'm and you throwing a PER stat does nothing to refute that

According to My Synergy Sports, a service that breaks down and tracks every play type, Griffin scored .88 points per play out of the post last year. Post-up opportunities comprised 35 percent of his offense. How does that compare to some of the league’s best post scorers?

Blake Griffin: .88 PPP, 35% post-ups
Kevin Love: .85 PPP, 24.9% post-ups
LaMarcus Aldridge: .94 PPP, 33.7% post-ups
DeMarcus Cousins: .81 PPP, 24.9% post-ups

It also seems silly that Griffin’s production in the pick-and-roll (1.2 PPP in that setting this year) can be so easily ignored. Pick-and-rolls make up the strong majority of every half-court offense in the league, and Griffin has routinely been one of the best finishers in the league as a roll man.

Let’s not discount Griffin’s passing ability, either. With the exception of Kevin Love, Josh McRoberts and the Gasol brothers, no other power forward or center ranks above Griffin in assist opportunities per game, which is tracked by SportVU and is defined as “passes by a player to a teammate in which the teammate attempts a shot, and if made, would be an assist.”

That confirms what most people who watch Griffin every night already know. Griffin is drawing the attention of multiple defenders whenever he gets the ball, and he’s routinely finding teammates open shots.

From that you can see that Blake is a guy who operates heavily out of the post. He is a great player and easily top 10-15 in the league. He iwll do his damage but aside from posting up what he does best in comparison to many bigs in the league is operate in the post and he has difficulties against the OKC bigs with that.

and pick and rolls

Paul/Griffin/Jordan will have a lot of success on pick and rolls against the Thunder. The Clippers offense is going to be a lot tougher to defend than the Memphis one. Conley was able to weave through the Thunder defense, imagine what Paul will do? Plus, they are far better down low than Memphis. Add in some one they have actually pay attention do out on the wing in Reddic/Crawford.

The Clippers are going to score because that is what the Clippers do. Their big issue is on defense where they are horrible and with nobody to stop KD/RW they are in even bigger trouble.
