But there’s a reason we don’t just ship people to prison for associating with gang members. He might know some people because El Salvador isn’t a huge place. Is that worth questioning for his continued place in America? Sure, but it’s not justification for a prison sentence.
Right now literally all I’m saying is that this CECOT thing was already troubling from the start, but if we’re going to imprison them as terrorists, we should at least have a heck of a better system than “hey, this guy was hanging around Home Depot in the middle of the day with gang members” when sending them there. Otherwise just deport them.

I mean I hung out with gang members before. not hyper casually, but I grew up really close to the bloods and worked with a few and the guys i knew were good people who had a fucked up view on their life.

Again, all I’m saying is if we’re going to use foreign prisons as a means of punishment for immigrants, I think there should be the same requirements as we have for imprisoning someone here. Deport whomever you wish, but it should require a criminal trial to imprison them domestically or abroad.
Did they get the chance? I don’t understand how you can watch *this* SCOTUS rule 9-0 that Trump must facilitate his return and come to the conclusion this is some lefty insanity.
