How long was he locked up before deportation? Of course they had time.

He came back because he was under protected status from going to El Salvador.

He can still be deported to another country.

Did he get a chance to speak with his lawyers regarding his pending deportation to a prison in a country we legally could not deport him to? Because it’s a pretty obvious case for them to make. So easy in fact that I’m aligned with some extremely conservative people on violations of due process.

Where was no intentional violation of due process.

The SCOTUS reminded both sides of the option of Habeas Corpus. It's not the government's fault that Garcia's lawyers didn't use it.

Trump has offered money to law abiding (aside from illegal entry) illegals to self-deport.

No, in this case I’m asking for additional punishment to not be doled out to someone beyond deportation. It’s a pretty simple ask.
