GDT 4/23/25: Braves vs Cardinals - Verdugo Out White In

I guess being a white dude that cries on Easter Sunday in twit's office will guarantee you playing time.. Not sure how JK keeps going and Verdugo gets a day off for White.
 
Acuna can't come back soon enough. Kelenic is fucking done. I tried being optimistic about him before last year. But I'm done with him.

After he pimped a single with his sub 600 OPS I have no patience for him.

to be fair, I am actually ok with giving guys an off day, even before another off day... gives the bench some playing time and keeps guys fresher. But there is no reason to have JK playing and verdugo sitting at this point. at least play Fairchild as well..
 
We’re facing a RHP, and he sits an actual MLB hitter who’s played 4 games with a day off tomorrow while continuing to run out a dude who will be in Korea next year.

Verdugo better have an injury.
 
I really don't understand why we are wasting AJSS innings in AAA. There is ZERO logic to this decision. He is easily one of the best 13 pitchers and 5 best starters in the organization.

Elder gifted with a DP after throwing 1 strike to 2 batters.
 
Don't blame elder. It's AA. How many times do he have to see this before he gets it through his 7" skull?
 
I would rather have any single pitcher in our organization pitching than Elder. He truly adds nothing to this team. It's hard to fathom how and why AA can't see that.
 
I bet Charlie gets DFA'd soon. You know for a fact that we will bring him back. Yeah he has sucked, but maybe Kranitz can get him back on track.
 
Good thing Elder was able to get out of the 1st inning with only 27 pitches after a bullpen game yesterday.. It is almost like they don't know what is working in the bullpen before they get on the mound.

I will absolutely blame a player for performing poorly. He threw 13 strikes out of 17 pitches and a couple of those strike calls were generous. Throw strikes. Don't throw meatballs, but you gotta throw strikes.
