I'll say this too. In retrospect it appears that AA had an idea this was gonna happen at the end of the offseason and the Verdugo pickup has really mitigated the damage.

White duggie and little lemke have changed this team drastically imo. The energy and attitude feels different since they have been starting. I like it
White Verdugo and Allen are putting together competent plate appearances while also bringing speed and defense.

Just got back from the game. It was a nice relaxing night at the ballpark. No drama, no stress. Like a spring training game. The vibe was so weird - almost nobody there except Braves fans. It was easily the lightest crowd Ive ever witnessed there. Combo of the cool weather, school still in session, and the Rockies being really bad.

For real tho, Eli White has been a Godsend. And it's not completely luck either. His statcast page shows some serious improvements in his game. He will cool off, but I think we might have found us one of those needles in haystack that every other team seems to find but us.

I went back and looked up some old prospect scouting reports on Albies. He reminds me of Furcal who had the great rookie year then kept trying to hit homers every at bat when we just needed him to get on base.
