GDT 6/8: Need A Win In A Giant Way

I called strider done in real time and called us not scoring again. This team is totally predicable, but snit can't see it. To be fair, AA gave snit such horrible bench and pen pieces to use that it's tough to make moves. Both of these clowns have to go
 
And people actually were pissy that we dared question AA and his bottom of the barrel approach to the offseason. SMDH. It was fair to take AA to task then, and it's even more applicable to do so now. Now about that manager......
 
Honestly haven’t seen AA do one of those interviews where he takes blame for how bad the team is playing like he didn’t earlier in his tenure. Dude put together a piss poor team. Is what it is

AA has proven to be more of a problem than snit.
 
For once in AA's life, I wish he would say F it, and overpay for some help now! Every move doesn't have to be a slam dunk. Do something!
 
Hey, some positives today!
- Strider‘s slider looked much sharper and got some whiffs. He also kept the ball in the yard.
- Riley and Olson with some absolute rockets to (gasp) produce runs!
- Pen pitched well
- no 9th inning heartbreak

Of course, the negatives were abundant again…
- Strider‘s fastball sat at 94 after the 3rd inning. At some point, we need to see an uptick to continue to believe that the old Strider will ever come back.
- Ozuna and Acuna looking lost at the plate. Ozuna looks like he‘s only got one swing in him per at bat. Why he doesn‘t get some days off is beyond me.
- The offense quit after the Giants took the lead. Not even a hint of a comeback. No fight at all.

This is obviously a lost season, and pretty much has been since day 1. The team feels it that they aren’t serious about winning. Just ride out the season, make sure there are no avoidable injuries, and put together a winning product for next year - on the field and in the dugout. They owe it to the fans who are still watching this train wreck.

If these guys have quit, it's time to send some shock waves - announce any brave and every brave is on the block. Call with an offer. Only issue with this is AA has brain rot, so we will get trade raped
 
Seems like a perfect time to get Murphy and Drake in the lineup together and give Ozuna some time to heal.

Not the Braves way, I guess.

Dude, this team isn't worth saying "f it" on. We are a super long shot to make the playoffs at this point. Regardless how the East shakes out, we likely need a minimum of 87 wins to make the playoffs. That means we need to go 60-38 the rest of the way just to even have a small shot at making the playoffs (89 wins was barely enough a year ago).

It just ain't happening my guy. I'm sure we will get hot at some point. Probably do something like go 12-3 over a 15 game span and get back around .500. But this season is officially over. And no realistic trade is going to change that.

Then blow it up. This team has shown it isn't good enough for about 2 seasons. You either believe in this team - get some help to turn the million 1-run losses into wins, or break this disappointing team up. Standing pat is dumb,

"Blowing it up" according to me...

Sell sale at his absolute pinnacle value hopefully for a package centered around a SS for the future.

Trade ozuna. Don't even care about the value that much. Get Acuna off those knees 2-3 times a week.

Trade Murphy. He can pull some much needed prospects for the farm.

We were a 89 win team last year that got notably worse in the off-season. The only addition was Profar. We were banking on Acuna and Strider returning and replacing the production we lost from Fried, Morton, TDA, Soler, etc, but that hasn't happened like we thought. And then we faced more injuries/suspensions. Depsite that, we will likely finish around .500. If we have money to make to make significant additions this off-season, we should be easily be able to get back to the 90 win team we've been the last few years.

There is no reason to blow it up. We've simply dug our hole too deep to get out of this season. But there is still plenty of talent remaining to get back on track next year.
