I mean, at some point, he has to realize he's bringing less than nothing to the team and organization anymore.

Any shine he had on himself from 40 + years in the organization is slowly wearing off. Just let Walt take over for the rest of the year.

He’ll be allowed to leave in his own terms. Simply because of how long he’s been with this organization. I have said since last season ended this will be his last. Now, could he make that call after the All Star Game? Probably not, but it won’t surprise me.

He definitely won't be fired but I could see AA going to him and say hey you need to step down before ownership pushes me to fire you.

If he buys, it will be with an eye toward 2026 or a soft buy.
