Expecting a huge game from Tyler Pastornicky tonight. He owns Samardzija. Well small sample and all that.

So my read on the 2B situation is they're going to see if one or the other of Pena or Pastornicky can grab it, and if neither does LaStella will be here Memorial Day.

But I think they're about as over Dan as we are. After all, they're the ones having to stroke those checks. Ugh

That's the plan Stan. I do think they will give the odd game to Uggla just to see if there is any life there. I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the lineup against Vogelsong.

Yeah. I think he needs to show a bit more at AAA before being anointed. My guess is that Pastornicky and/or Pena are likely to get most of the PT at second the rest of this season.

or TLS gets hot again, and we call him up. Wondering if the LaStella call up and the Uggla release will be simultaneous. I guess they can send Pastor down if they call up TLS.

Think they should debut TLS at the beginning of a road trip, deflect the pressure a little.

Cubs offense is pretty weak. Especially when Smard pitches, for some reason.

Perhaps. But his OBP during his slump is .333. On the season it's over .370 and in his MiLB career it's .400. That's change I can live with.
