I know the talent pool is limited when it comes to “journalists” you can invite that will uncritically cheer on everything Trump does, but they sort of lost the plot when they invited that guy who looked like a Slytherin student made it to the real world.

This isn’t intended as an endorsement of Mamdani’s suggestion, but who exactly is the target audience of this tweet? Maybe these idiots would be more effective if they pointed out the reasons that seizing luxury condos won’t help the housing crisis instead of trying to persuade the one person on planet Earth that owns multiple speculative luxury properties in New York City and is undecided on their vote in the Mayoral race. These grifters have this really weird habit of pushing talking points for the ultra rich as if it’s a direct attack on the average Joe, when there are actual reasons that such policies might not deliver the intended consequences.

It doesn’t matter, I just found it emblematic of a messaging approach on the right that confuses me. There’s a broad strategy of tying anything the left does to some rich and/or powerful person to everybody else in a way I don’t understand. This idea that if you let the Dems tax the rich or prosecute Trump for something or any other number of things that they’re coming for you next, when the “you” in question is average Americans that are absolutely in no danger of any of these things happening to them. I just find it odd, because it doesn’t seem like it should be an effective strategy.

Two things.

1. TLHLIM. Look at what he is proposing! That's a strong message to everybody to remind them what to vote for or importantly what to reject

2. The income tax was started for only the ultra rich. Its what every horrible socialist party starts with.

I know class warfare is all the rage but it’s actually an insane thing for essentially the incoming mayor to support seizing private property.
