2025 Around The League Thread

I hope AA isn't sleeping. There are some interesting guys the just got DFA'd l. Certainly guys that would be potential upgrades over what we have right now. He already passed on Matt Manning, who seemed like an obvious fit and a way better option than Carrasco. A couple other guys we should look at are:

Bryan Hudson, RP. 2.5 bWAR and a 1.76 ERA in 2024.

Ryan Pressly, RP. Yes that Ryan Pressly. He's 36 and had a rough year, but he's a guy that's been one of the most reliable RPs of the last decade+.

White Sox just claimed Bryan Hudson

Grant Holmes has decided to put off his TJ surgery until April next year. What the actual fuck. Teams need to start getting some service time credit for pitchers out with TJ. How many starting pitchers have TJ before they hit arbitration? It feels like a lot.

He isn't putting it off. He simply isn't getting it done. It's a risk, but it's only a partial tear. If it heals correctly and he doesn't have any setbacks, he could be ready for ST or shortly after.

However, I imagine his future in the rotation is probably caput.
