GDT 8-5: Brewers at Braves; Game 2

I’m super glad the Braves will be paying $15M for 2 more seasons to an average bat with terrible LF defense.

Anyone who's played in the outfield knows the panic when you realize you've misjudged a ball whose backspin is going to carry over your head. That said, you don't expect a major leaguer to do it.

Man I am really excited about the high draft pick but then I realize the bottom five GM will still be running this team and will find a way to trade it somehow for a few Rockies players he can extend on a team friendly deal.

“Bottom five GM” is such chicken-little cap that I wonder why you and your ilk even bother following the team these days.

Clown bro. The dude has turned into a troll. If I see his name I just keep scrolling bc I ran out of tissues to hand him at this point.

you guys don’t need to get butt hurt on me not bowing to the alter of your top 5 gm. He won a World Series on the backs of inherited talent and hitting double zeros on Duvall and RaSorryio improbable runs. Give him credit for that. Loved him fleecing Boston. But he has been lack luster in so many other ways and he continues to throw support for the dumbest person in baseball.

I call it as I see it. Many are hopeful that he will spend like crazy this offseason. Just like you were hopeful he would last year or last trade deadline or even sell pieces this deadline. Yet all we have are excuses and almost. Not expecting much different. Hopefully I am wrong.

The Braves are bad. The minors are bad. I blame the person in charge of the org for that. You can blame some deity if want to shield the guy running the org. I choose not too.

Been a fan since the 80’s. Will always be a fan even with people I don’t care for within the org.

He isn't a top gm either. But he's far from a bottom 5 GM. He's very average. Some good moves. Some bad moves. But so far, no terrible moves that have put the franchise in a huge bind (like signing Xander Bogaerts to 11 years and 280 million).

The big moves he has made (Olson and Murphy) have mostly worked out ok, though we would be better off if those moves weren't made (assuming we re-signed Freeman in the Olson case). I would say the biggest issue is the super lackluster trade deadline activity every year and the previous 2 off-seasons being very bland.

That being said, if he was fired tomorrow, I wouldn't cry about it.

Raise your hand if you are glad AA didn’t just give Ozuna away for a salary dump so he could goof off on the bench the whole season. Man that AA is sure a clever guy.

Maybe we can see riggy throw some meaningless innings while down 6 run next.

We probably would have had to eat half his lay just to get nothing. Who wants a DH who can't hit?
