Second ('Third') Trump Presidency Thread

It’s not. It’s the one claiming every person in that group is a foreign invader here to bring death and destruction to America.
Ok- I don’t remember you bitching about Mayorkas and his total BS either

Just making sure you at least appear consistent

Any talk on Trump cleaning up DC here?

Some figures suggest over 1.5M illegals self-deported.

How about the fight Republicans are showing now on the gerrymandering.

The book on the Trump legacy will be a good one. Seems like most people are getting majority of what they wanted all along.

Oh goodie, another person who thinks partisan gerrymandering hasn’t been utilized extensively by both sides since the beginning.

Please feel free to provide me with some solid evidence that partisan gerrymandering has more positively affected Dems.
Sure - look at state level voting percentages in comparison to partisian representation in Congress. It’s pretty clear.

…what is clear about it?
That’s states like Cali/IlNY are gerrymandered worse than anything else out there.

Now that will change and I welcome what’s happening to stop the marxists trash that currently calls itself the Democrat party

Maybe in volume, due to the number of people in those states. Proportionately? Nah.

In volume?

How about percentage.

It’s very clear which stages are the most gerrymandered despite you pretending otherwise.

Take a stroll through that top ten and let me know if you see an overwhelming Democratic win here.

Odd how Maryland is far more gerrymandered than NC but it didnt beat it.

I’m sure this source is wholesome and of course Cali not being on this list is hysterical.

First one I found and I’m not taking their individual rankings into account here. But all these states are doing the same damn thing.

This is what happens when you huff too much spray paint as a teenager, you become a stupid you can't comprehend.

NYS had 8 out of 26 reps as republicans. EVen if we go with the clearly rigged 2024 election (boy it's fun to flip this election shit on you) that's withing 15 percentage points of the votes Trump got. Which I'm assuming is what you're going off of.

Texas meanwhile has 12 out of 38 seats for dems which is, you guessed it within 15 percentage points of the votes Kamala got.

Where this breaks down is states like Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina, Illinois, this isn't a red state/blue state issue, this is a everyone does it some are just better (North Carolina) than others.

Its pretty clear - If one side is more gerrymandered than the other now than the other side will benefit more from an extreme push to further gerrymander.

But we have seen the reports already - The rebublicans have far more of an opportunity to pick up seats. There is a reason for that.

Yes, population distribution and control of state legislatures. Doesn’t mean that gerrymandering is happening more by Dems than Republicans.

The only place I’ll cede some ground is that due to courts enforcing certain race-based districting, that Dems have an inherent advantage in some areas they otherwise wouldn’t. And I actually happen to agree with the right that districting should not consider the racial makeup of the proposed maps, despite my positions on other race-related topics.

Really get tied up by the minutia of it all don’t ya
I mean, yeah. If we were serious about making the government more efficient and fighting the deficit, we’d be looking for ways to not waste money. Making a wall hotter in the sunlight (on the American side?!) doesn’t seem like an efficient use of our tax dollars.
