Epic own-goal, but I do think it’s wild that it was almost entirely caused by the woke right treating a standard, awful branding refresh as an affront to America itself. I can’t imagine the marketing team of Cracker Barrel saw itself as such a cornerstone of the cultural fabric of the right. Restaurants have been doing this repeatedly for the past decade. Cracker Barrel wasn’t getting rid of heritage, they were sanitizing their image like so many other major chains have done. They just happened to have the image of folksy America by happenstance.

I can assure you, some are either offended or at least lying about being offended. It is very much akin to Bud Light, wherein they stumbled ass-first into the culture war by mistake and everyone was very not normal about it.
 
Well I agree with that. They have done everything with hate crimes that people warned about. But because the examples they used were brutal crimes few wanted to vote against it. Much like civil asset forfeiture how it was sold is not how it is used. The people deserving of hate crimes are already getting decades in prison if not life. But we knew it was a trick. Now they are using it for retarded shit. Soon if you object to the opposite sex being in the bathroom with you that's a hate crime. Don't want to use someone's pronouns. Hate crime. Disagree with application of hate crimes. That's a hate crime. It's all been a con so they can expand it to be the thought police.
