In the context of a labor market that’s freezing shut (which that data came out while you were on vacation so understandable that you missed it).

All will be well. Fed will cut 50 bps next week.
 
His policies on tariffs and immigration are almost a textbook recipe for stagflation. Glad to see those elements of macroeconomic theory validated in real time. Helps a lot with teaching my intermediate macro class.
Yeah I’m sure it has nothing to do with the disaster of the last four years
 
This is a graph of non-food and energy commodities in the CPI. It is not a perfect vehicle for screening out tariffs effects but is the closest broad category that I can think of.
