Forget about Charlie Kirk. Do you not mourn the person murdered for simply speaking?

I dont support death threats to a crazed lunatic leftist. Im confident nothing with happen to him, unlike Kirk, Trump, Kavanaugh, etc
 
Had a performance review this week. I brought up that I have 5 years on task and therefore never have to do anything ever again and you can never fire me

Sadly, that only work for our college professors who's students are currently drowning in life killing debt
 
It is an odd profession

Never creates anything of tangible value, yet isn’t really fireable.

I have three BILs in teaching, and they are great guys. One is principal of his county HS and a great leader.

But they all tried other things like sales, manufacturing, advertising, construction etc before they landed there.

This is the real reason we are seeing erosion of our institutions. Stupid people are getting worthless pieces of paper. The people who are in power that want to still retain value in their own pieces of paper hire the morons with similar pieces of paper. We end up with unspectacular people in positions of authority.

I don’t really jive with IQ enough to give it much weight in this discussion, but I do wholeheartedly agree with the general point here. We have absolutely subsidized demand for niche academic fields without the actual market demand for the services of those graduates. This has subsequently pushed people who really have no business borrowing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars for a degree into doing so.
