I’ve been watching as the left eats at that Dean Withers kid for simply expressing sadness at Kirk’s death and for politely telling off people who went after him for it and defending his reaction. I hope he holds firm on it and helps his audience grow from this. You can only trust a leftist as far as you can throw them, but while he isn’t perfect, I’ve seen him make some good points in ways that the modern left struggles over the past year or so. It’s legitimately insane that he’d face criticism for having a healthy response to a debate partner being violently murdered.

Yea it’s very bizarre. Obviously he trusted the boyfriend to keep his secret which implies that he thought he shouldn’t be entirely shocked this happened.

He seems pretty naive. Leaving a rifle with his finger print on the trigger near the crime scene isn’t exactly something a professional would do.

Honestly it even read to me like a conversation between an insane and clueless Robinson and his terrified and befuddled partner. Every time his partner asks one of the normal questions one might ask in this situation, Robinson answers casually while fixating on how he can get away with it and completely failing to comprehend that the partner hasn’t remotely moved on from the murder part.

If this released exchange isn’t withholding some additional comments from the roommate backing up Robinson’s confidence that the murder was some trivial matter, this honestly makes perfect sense.
 
For someone crazy enough to do this kind of thing in the first place, I can’t even begin to imagine the levels of detachment from reality a guy like Robinson is experiencing after he’s in hiding, knowing what he’s done. I have absolutely no empathy for that struggle, but I just don’t see how anybody could glean anything useful about his motivations at that moment. I’d hope investigators are a bit more focused on any conversations had prior to the shooting.
 
There are two possibilities

1) being mentally ill makes people leftists

2) being leftist makes one mentally ill

Well there is a third possibility. The causation goes in both directions
